Rescue Section  ~  Terms of Adoption

1.  Fee
The adoption fee is the actual expenses incurred for that particular dog or a minimum of $300 Canadian which is used as a donation to Bouvier Rescue to help cover rescue expenses.  The Rescue dog will have been neutered or spayed, given all necessary inoculations including rabies, and will be heartworm tested and given any other medial treatment needed before adoption.

2.  Return Policy
If for ANY reason the adoption is not satisfactory for the Rescue dog or the adoptive family, Bouvier Rescue requires that the dog be returned to Bouvier Rescue.  Bouvier Rescue reserves the right to take back any Rescue dog that is neglected, improperly cared for, allowed to run free unsupervised or left in an uncontrolled environment.

3.  Release
The adoptive owner must sign a legal release to protect all parties involved including the Rescue dog.

4.  License
Laws differ in various townships, counties and cities.  The adoptive owner must make him/herself aware of local regulations and license the dog in accordance with the existing laws of the area.  The rabies shot must be kept up to date.

5.  Care
The adoptive family agrees to provide proper food, shelter, medical care and agrees that their Rescue dog will not be allowed to run free without supervision.  Failure to comply with these requirements will result in the surrender of the Rescue dog back to Bouvier Rescue.

We strongly recommend that the dog receive an annual heartworm check (if not on heartworm preventative year round), and that the adoptive owner follow the heartworm preventative schedule and regular inoculations schedule established by their veterinarian.

I have read the “Terms of Adoption”, understand and agree to abide by them if I adopt a dog from the Bouvier Rescue.
