BdFCC Consititution

 

Section 1 – Name

The name of the club shall be the Bouvier des Flandres Club of Canada Inc.  (hereinafter referred to as BdFCC).

 

Section 2 - Affliation

The BdFCC will be governed by the rules and regulations of the Canadian Kennel Club (hereinafter referred to as CKC).  The BdFCC shall work in co-operation with regional clubs and organizations devoted to the objectives of the BdFCC.

 

Section 3 – The purpose of the BdFCC is to:

A)

To encourage and promote quality in the breeding of purebred Bouvier des Flandres and to do all possible to bring their natural qualities to perfection;

B)

Urge members and breeders to accept the standard of the breed as approved by the CKC as the only standard of excellence by which Bouvier des Flandres shall be judged;

C)

To do all in its power to protect and advance the interests of the breed and to encourage sportsman-like competition at dog shows, obedience trials and working trials;

D)

Conduct sanctioned matches, specialty shows, obedience trials and working trials under the rules of the CKC for competition and public interest;

E)

Educate the public as to the nature of the Bouvier des Flandres and benefits of pure-bred dogs;

F)

Encourage and advise owners, breeders and interested persons in furthering their knowledge and appreciation of the breed through education programs;

G)

To publish literature in the interest and education of the Bouvier des Flandres;

 

Section 4 – Non-Profit

The BdFCC shall not be conducted or operated for profit and no part of any profits or remainders or residue from dues or donations to the club shall insure to the benefit of any member or individual.  The BdFCC shall be operated as a non-profit organization.  Any monies generated through dues, donations or other means shall be used to further the BdFCC’s objectives.

 

Section 5 – Revision of Constitution

The members of the BdFCC shall adopt and may from time to time revise this Constitution as may be required to carry out these objectives.  Changes will follow the same process as the revision of the BdFCC Bylaws as described in Article 10.  Proxy voting is not allowed.

 

Section 6 – Fiscal Year

He BdFCC’s fiscal year shall begin on the first (1st) day of January and end the thirty-first (31st) day of December each year.

 

Section 7 – Area of Operation

The area of operation of the BdFCC shall be the country of Canada.
